British Science Week 2022: We blasted off with a live session featuring speakers from the European Space Agency (ESA), the UK Space Agency, NASA’s Mars 2020 Mission team, ExoMars Mission Control and experts from the UK space industry!
Throughout Science week, we worked on our mission to investigation the kinds of creatures that humans might encounter if we eventually make the voyage to Mars. Here, the children are discussing the Martian habitat, looking for similarities with those on Earth, and thinking about the kinds of adaptations that Martians would have to make to be able to survive there.
For our second British Science Week event, Year 2 spent the morning researching earthworms. We looked at different species and their habitats, as well as their role in the ecosystem. We then split into groups to investigate how many worms we could find in each habitat
