This week is Anti bullying week, and in traditional style we began the week by wearing our odd socks. It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!

BOOK FAIR HAS ARRIVED! We loved looking at the books and Mrs Tomlinson read us a few stories too.

In class we have been exploring similes. We learned that a simile is a way of describing something by comparing it to something else using ‘like’ or ‘as’. We also discovered that when you are describing something, you are trying to create a picture in the reader’s mind and similes can help you to do this.

We began by generating a bank of adjectives, and then used similes for the sentences provided. It was tricky as we had to add adjectives and similes in the correct places.
