In Science this week, Oak class were learning about Forces (specifically gravity and air resistance). The class conducted an investigation into different sizes of paper and measuring how long it would take to fall to the ground from the top of a metre stick. We learnt that the larger the paper, the longer it took to fall to the ground due to air resistance. We also learnt about how if there was an air vacuum (no air at all), there would be no air resistance and therefore a feather and a bowling ball would fall at the exact same time.
This week in R.E., we read the Gospel of Luke 18: 35-43 about Jesus healing the blind man. The children in the class created a character profile of the man and took on the role of the character. The rest of the class came up with questions to ask the 'blind man' and how he felt after his sight had been restored.
