WB 21.2.22

As a class we conducted a Conscience Alley. One member of the class walked between two lines of children while they gave ‘Baby Bear’ advice. The ‘Conscience Alley’ either advised Baby Bear to forgive Goldilocks for eating her porridge and breaking her chair or not to forgive Goldilocks. Afterwards, we discussed the arguments for and against forgiving Goldilocks.

We began our unit on Fractions by reviewing last year’s learning about finding half. We remembered that to make ½ we need to split the whole into two equal groups. The bottom number shows us how many parts to split the whole into and is called the denominator. We found that only even numbers can be halved.
