As part of well-being week, Iris Class built bridges to symbolically represent the connections that they have in their lives. We discussed the things that make us connect to others such as shared interests, family connections and even the friendships we build upon in school every day.
In Maths, we began the lesson practically by using the dienes to show how numbers are partitioned into tens and ones. The numbers we used were between 11 and 50. During the lesson we used place value cards to show the relationship between the tens and ones.
Today Iris Class made their very own Worry Dolls! Worry Dolls are very special dolls that we can tell all our worries to each night before we go to bed. We then put the doll under our pillow and as we sleep, our Worry Dolls are hard at work making all of our worries disappear!
