Congratulations to all of Rose Class for their incredible assembly about Pentecost!
This week, our Year 2 children explored the NRICH maths problem Counting Ladybirds. Using their knowledge of statistics, they gathered data, sorted information, and created their very own pictograms to represent what they discovered. It was fantastic to see them thinking critically, working collaboratively, and presenting their findings so clearly. Well done, Year 2!
Year 2 had great fun diving into the fascinating world of Henry VIII! The children sorted through a mix of positive and negative facts about the famous king, sparking lively discussions and curious questions. From his many wives to his bold decisions, the class enjoyed learning all about his dramatic reign—and had lots of fun along the way!
In Computing, Year 2 have been getting hands-on with Scratch Jr to explore how coding blocks work and how each block creates a specific outcome. The children experimented with sequencing, movement, and sounds to create simple animations and interactive stories. They loved seeing their characters come to life on the screen and were proud to debug and improve their own code. It’s been a fantastic introduction to programming, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and logical thinking!
