Week beginning 1st December 2025
This week Year 2 took part in a wonderful activity creating their own Christingles. Each element of the Christingle has a special meaning, helping us reflect on the light of Christ and the hope He brings during Advent. The children enjoyed learning about the symbolism of the orange, the candle, the red ribbon, and the sweets, and how these remind us of God’s love and the world He created. It was a lovely way to prepare for Christmas and deepen our understanding of this beautiful tradition.
This week, the children have been learning all about 3D shapes! They have been identifying and naming different shapes and counting their faces, edges, and vertices. Through hands-on activities and fun challenges, the children are developing a deeper understanding of the properties of shapes and how they appear in the world around us.
