This week was assessment week, and the children did a fantastic job of demonstrating all of the knowledge they have accumulated over the autumn term. As well as assessments, they began writing their newspaper articles, which are based on our text, The Lion Inside. In maths, the children continued working on multiplication and division with a focus on using knowledge we already have to solve unknown problems. Cherry Tree Class learned about the Celtic Tribes of Britain and Boudicca's legendary rebellion in history, and, in geography, the children collected traffic data about the road outside our school and considered the local land use. The children learned about the prophet Isaiah in RE, and the week was rounded off beautifully with the KS1 nativity. What a fantastic week!
