Week beginning 2nd February
The children have been exploring fascinating facts about bees, from how they make honey to the important role they play in pollinating plants. Through books, videos, and research activities, they are gathering all the information they need to write their very own non-chronological reports next week. We can’t wait to see the wonderful work they produce!
Through discussions, research, and creative design, Year 2 explored issues such as pollution, deforestation, littering, and climate change. Their posters highlight the importance of making positive choices to protect our planet and encourage others to do the same. We are very proud of their thoughtful ideas and powerful messages!
In Design Technology this week, the children have been adding ‘wooden cladding’ to their beach hut designs, carefully thinking about texture, structure and appearance. They have also been including extra features such as doors, windows and colourful flags to bring their creations to life. The class showed fantastic teamwork throughout, supporting one another and sharing ideas to improve their designs. We’re so proud of their creativity and collaboration!
