Despite the rain this week, the children in Cherry Tree Class put their best effort into all of their learning and demonstrated some of the fantastic progress they have made so far this year when they produced their own narratives based on Krindlekrax. The children used ambitious and descriptive language to narrate a climactic battle between themselves and the horrifying monster that has been terrorising their street! In maths, the children are beginning to use their core skills in context, applying their four operations skills to length and perimeter work. In science, we conducted an investigation into how different surfaces affect the friction exerted on an object, and we learned about the four different types of volcano in geography. It was a busy week, rounded off with a hot seating lesson about some of the parables of Matthew's gospel. Well done Cherry Tree Class!
