WB 05.01.26
The first week back was a busy one for Cherry Tree Class. The children began their second Multiplication and Division topic and are moving towards column multiplication. In English, we have begun a new text called Krindlekrax and the children have written a guided character description based on the style of the author. In geography, we have begun a topic called Rocks, Relics and Rumbles, and the children kicked off their learning by investigating different rock types and their properties, whilst, in science, we are starting Forces and Magnets, and began by looking at the difference between push and pull forces. In RE, Year 3 retold the story of the visit of the Magi in connection with our Epiphany celebration on Tuesday, in which Father Paul came to school to deliver a mass, and we rounded off the week with a fantastic celebration assembly in which Cherry Tree Class had two stars of the week. What a great way to kick off the year!
