WB 10.11

This week, Year 3 have been cheerful and energetic despite the rainy weather. They have worked hard on consolidating their knowledge on using formal methods of addition and subtraction and have moved onto multiplication and division this week. In RE, the focus of the learning was on the order of mass and the roles that people play within this to support the church. In PE, the children worked on their sprinting techniques and their tag rugby skills, and in art, they finished their watercolour topic with beautiful collaged outcomes. Cherry Tree class used an excerpt from Pugs of the Frozen North to write fantastic setting descriptions for The Lion Inside, and completed research for the animals they will focus on when writing their independent setting description, using a rainforest habitat instead of the original setting, the savannah. It's been a very busy week, but there was still time to fit in a Prehistoric London Workshop and some French. Well done Cherry Tree Class!
