WB 24.11

It has been another busy week for Year 3. The children started the week with a visit from author Banji Alexander, and wore fancy hats and shoes to celebrate. In English, they began looking at newspaper resources ahead of writing their own article. In maths, the children have been using their times tables knowledge to apply their multiplication and division in context. In geography, they learned about the structure of our planet, annotating diagrams and summarising their learning. In history, they completed group presentations on Bronze Age hillforts and shared their knowledge with the class. On Thursday, they had a fantastic experience at Valence House, learning even more about the Prehistoric history of our local area. They rounded the week off with Journey In Love day, where they spoke about and completed work on what makes a strong and happy friendship. Well done Cherry Tree Class!
