It has been another busy and productive week for Year 6! In Maths, we successfully completed our Ratio topic by exploring similar shapes and solving complex ratio problems, finishing the unit with a practical look at how ratio applies to recipes. Our English lessons focused on continuing our Inuit research and mastering the use of active and passive voice, which the students then applied to the planning stage of their upcoming non-chronological reports. This fascination with the Arctic continued in Art, where students were enthralled by the history of Inuit sculptures and showed incredible enthusiasm while beginning their own carvings. In RE, the children showed great maturity while reflecting on the role of women in the story of salvation compared to their role in the Church today, expressing their personal perspectives through insightful written pieces. Finally, as part of our wider curriculum offer, the year group participated in an informative Road Safety workshop, where they learned the vital importance of staying vigilant and safe when out on the road.
