This week, our students have engaged in a diverse and enriching curriculum across multiple subjects. In Maths, students successfully concluded their study of the Ratio topic and moved into Algebra, mastering the difference between expressions and formulas and confidently applying substitution techniques. Our Writing sessions focused on the art of persuasion; students learned key features and devices before applying this knowledge to draft powerful introductory letters to the Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, suggesting improvements for local environmental issues. Simultaneously, Science lessons introduced students to the fundamentals of electrical circuits and their corresponding symbols. In RE, we explored the Book of John, understanding its core purpose of leading people to believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Art continued our deep dive into the Inuit topic, with students creating striking pieces using stencilling and printing techniques. The week culminated on a high note with an amazing Seafood workshop, where students gained valuable life skills in preparing and cooking fish.
