This week has been both reflective and exhilarating, beginning with our school community gathering for an Advent Mass led by Father Paul in the hall. We emphasized the importance of this special season as a time of preparation and hopeful anticipation.

Academically, students have worked diligently on completing their assessments. In English, we started writing a balanced argument focused on xenotransplantation. History lessons provided a nuanced look at the realities of life after slavery, contrasting common perceptions with actual historical outcomes through an interactive 'hot seat' activity where students adopted roles like plantation owner, former African slave, and abolitionist. In Science, students honed their research and presentation skills by exploring climate change, its effects on weather and people, and the vital role of natural resource management in global trade and maintaining a healthy planet. We ended the week on a high note by participating in an engaging STEM workshop, and we are thrilled to announce that our Year 6 students were some of the named winners of the Gascoigne mural competition!

We look forward to another productive week ahead!
