Today, year 5 had the joy of going inside the 'Wonder Dome', where they were able to observe projections of our solar system, learning many astonishing facts along the way and sharing their own learning with an expert.
Year 5 have had a fantastic start to the new school year, engaging in lots of exciting new learning! They have been exploring fables in English, acting out 'The Tortoise and the Hare' before sequencing the story and perfecting their use of direct speech. The focus in maths has been on recapping place value and Roman numerals.This week in history, they became archaeologists, digging up ancient artifacts from the Shang Dynasty. In science, they became planets and mapped out our solar system. In computing, they explored systems and networks.
