This week, Year 3 made the jump to using the column method for addition and subtraction and they are absolutely smashing it, even managing to successfully complete calculations with exchanges! In, reading, they have been practising identifying the key words in the questions to help them find the answer in the text, and, in English, Cherry tree class have been preparing to write their first independent non-chronological report. On Monday, the children were lucky enough to participate in an online seminar led by several women in coding and software development roles. In science, the children learned about exoskeletons and endoskeletons, and they rounded off the week with some art focused on colour theory.
