WB 02.03
This week, in Year 3, we have written a set of instructions for how to construct an award-winning seawig, based on our text, Oliver and the Seawigs. We worked hard on identifying equivalent fractions using scales and bar models, and we took an in depth look at the consequences of volcanic eruption with a case study on Pompeii and Herculaneum. We made some beautiful prints of ammonites and began to learn about instruments in French. Most exciting though, was the huge variety of World Book Day activities we enjoyed this week, including a potion making session for George's marvellous Medicine, a Booky and Footy Quiz, peer reading with Year 5, and an opportunity to show off our favourite book characters by dressing up for World Book Day. What a busy week!
