What a fantastic first week back at school! Cherry tree Class have adjusted well to joining Key Stage 2 and have worked hard all week to ensure they are ready for new skills. The children have worked hard at consolidating their place value knowledge and their use of punctuation in sentences. They delved into history with an archaeological dig, and began to map out their knowledge of carnivores, herbivores and omnivores to support their new science topic about animal nutrition and skeletal systems. This afternoon the class had their first taste of French lessons, covering some initial phonics sounds, and explored watercolour paints through mark making. A very busy first week back, and a well earned rest before starting again on Monday. Well done Cherry tree Class!
