Year 2 have been busy exploring the magic of colour mixing in their latest art challenge! Inspired by the abstract work of Wassily Kandinsky, pupils experimented with primary colours to create vibrant secondary shades. The children created a gallery of creative, colourful masterpieces bursting with energy and imagination.

Year 2 have been sharpening their number skills by recalling number bonds to 10 using Numicon. With growing confidence, they’ve now taken on the challenge of applying this knowledge to practise number bonds to 20. Through hands-on activities and visual learning, pupils are building strong foundations in addition and subtraction.

Year 2 have been diving into the world of storytelling by creating their very own sequel to Mr Underbed! Through lively role play, pupils brought new characters and adventures to life, building on the original tale with creativity and flair. Their imaginative ideas and expressive performances made the story come alive in exciting new ways.
