This week, our first full week back at school, saw Year 6 immersed into their new curriculum for the year. In English, we jumped in the wizarding world of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' as we explored how to write a non-chronological report for the fearsome Basilisk. In maths, we experimented and secured our knowledge of place value - looking at numbers up to 10,000,000. Computing this week saw us delve into this networks that hold the internet together; specifically looking at IP addresses where we discovered the school's website is registered to a domain in California! In history we evaluated our key vocabulary for the Maafa topic. We held a class discussion about the importance of learning about black history and why it is significant to Africa today.
