We played a fun game today to help us understand fractions
History this week
This week used LOTS of role play to bring our new book 'Oliver and the Seawigs' to life. We imagined staring through the window to find a whole island disappeared. We also took on the role of Oliver and imagined what we would pack to survive on an island alone.
In pairs, we practiced measuring and calculating perimeters of different shapes.
Today we learned about magnetic force, we explored magnets to see how opposite poles created a pull where matching poles push away from each other.
Today we learned all about volcanos. We then created informational poster and presented them to the class.
For Safer Internet Day we were so lucky to have a visit from The Two Johns where we learned how to stay safe (and kind) online. We then used role play in class to discuss cyber-crime.
Today we used lollipop sticks to help us divide evenly and see what remainders we had!
We were so lucky to have a visit from Alan and his birds of prey today
Energy Saving Week
We did some research in RE this week!
As part of our Design and Technology we had an AMAZING trip to Pizza Express, Upminster. We had so much fun learning how our yummy pizza is made, we even got to make our very own.
Couleurs
We explored our new book, 'Krindlekrax' by Philip Ridley through role play.
