Another busy week for Year 6 as we rapidly approach the half term break. This week, our maths learning introduced us to the concept of long division. Oak class showed excellent resilience tackling this and used their mathematical knowledge to solve division problems using multiple methods. As we draw towards the end of our work on 'Fantastic Beasts', we produced a shared write of high quality this week, in preparation for our independent write. In computing, we finished our topic on networks and communication. Our continued learning about Maafa in History, led us to consider the causes and consequences of Britain's involvement in the maafa. Despite all our learning, we still had the opportunity to visit Barking Library, as well as take part in two workshops - a computing code-along and a conductive digital music workshop. We are looking forward to an amazing last week of half term to round of a great start to Year 6.
