This week was another busy week that included National Coding Week and National Fitness Day. On Wednesday, we started our day in the playground taking part in a whole school warm-up led by Mr. Campbell. This got us ready for our PE lessons, in which we have been learning about attack and defence strategies in Netball. For National Coding Week, we had a special lesson, where we used Python (a text-based coding language) to simulate and automate outputs on the computer screen. In English, we continued our work on non-chronological reports and how to effectively structure them for the desired purpose and audience. In maths, we continued our learning on place value with an NRICH lesson using a dice to work against our classmates while playing number games. In RE we discussed God's unconditional love and the story of the Prodigal Son. In history, we continued our learning by researching and discovering ancient African Kingdoms. This will help us understand the impact of colonialism over time.
