This week, year 5 and 6 took part in an all-action performance workshop which allowed students to explore issues around road safety. We followed the main character Jordan through his experiences of travelling through the streets safely and the consequences of his actions. We were reminded of the green cross code as well as pedestrian behaviour and roadside discipline. Children brainstormed particular hazards on their journeys to school, where it is safest to cross the road and the different types of crossing. The children were very enthusiastic about the drama and some were brave enough to take part in acting themselves.
