Year 2 Local Walk to Barking Abbey
Year 2 have been learning about significant individuals from our local history. They learnt about the life and work of Captain James Cook. Today, Year 2 had the opportunity to visit St. Margarets are Church in Barking Abbey. This church was a very important part of Captain James Cook’s history as he married his wife Elizabeth Batts there 260 years ago in 1762. It was a brilliant way for us to feel part of our local history.
