In year 4 we had the opportunity to take part in a virtual workshop taking on the role of polar explorers.  We found out how penguins and polar bears are perfectly adapted to their polar environments and learnt about threats such as climate change and overfishing which have a disastrous effect on our planet.  We were impressed with how the children could locate the Arctic and Antarctic and recall some of the animals that live there.  We learnt about ways in which we can act to protect our planet against climate change in our everyday lives.
