RESILIENCE AWARD
Year 6 have settled in brilliantly over their first two days! They have already shown great maturity, enthusiasm and resilience as they begin this exciting new chapter.
We have been learning all about resilience, exploring what it means to face challenges, recognise when we are in trouble and understand the signs that something might be going wrong. We have also discussed different strategies for overcoming difficulties and getting ourselves back on track.
The children enjoyed reading The Most Magnificent Thing and took part in a series of challenges where they worked together to build the tallest and strongest tower. They reflected on how it feels when things don’t go to plan and how perseverance, teamwork and a positive mindset can help us overcome challenges.
It has been a fantastic start to Year 6, and we are incredibly proud of the maturity and resilience the children have already demonstrated!
