WB 26.04.26
This week got off to an exciting start with the Rock Steady assembly, in which the children got to experience what it would be like if they were in a rock band! Throughout the week, they worked hard across all of their lessons, completing their narrative openings and beginning their work on a biography based on a character from our text, Arthur and the Golden Rope. We continued working on money in maths, applying our knowledge to word problems. In history, we learned about how Roman civilisation transitioned form a monarchy to a republic, and then to an empire. In science, the children looked at the xylem and phloem of plant stems, examining celery under our giant magnifying glasses. Once again, we rounded off the week with a successful swimming session at the Abbey Leisure Centre. Well done for another great week Year 3!
