World Environment day webinar - Today, children took part in an exciting and informative webinar to celebrate World Environment Day. During the session, they explored the different types of soil and learned why soil is so important for our planet and everyday life. They discovered how soil supports plant growth, helps produce the food we eat, and plays a vital role in the environment. The children were particularly fascinated to learn about the tiny creatures that live in the soil, such as worms and insects, and how these organisms help to keep the soil healthy by breaking down materials and improving its structure. Inspired by what they had learned, the children worked together to think about simple actions they can take to care for the soil and protect the environment. They came up with thoughtful pledges, such as reducing waste, looking after plants, and being mindful of how their actions impact the natural world. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to deepen their understanding of environmental issues and feel empowered to make a positive difference.
