Year 2 have been exploring digital art in their Art lessons as part of our Portraits and Poses topic. The children created digital line drawings of portraits using Sketchpad.com, developing their skills in observation, line, and detail. They showed great focus and creativity, and the results are fantastic. Have a look at their great work!
Year 2 have been exploring the great outdoors as part of their Animal Survival topic in Science. The children investigated different microhabitats around the school grounds, carefully searching for bugs and minibeasts. They observed where these creatures live and discussed how habitats help animals survive. The children showed great curiosity and teamwork while learning about the natural world.
Year 2 have been learning about Pentecost and the Holy Spirit in RE. They explored the story of the disciples and how the Holy Spirit came like a rushing wind. To help them understand this symbol, the children made colourful windmills to represent the wind felt by the disciples. They showed great creativity and understanding while bringing the story of Pentecost to life in our school prayer garden.
