Junior Citizens
Thu 16 Jun 2022On Monday Year 6 were lucky enough to take part in a series of workshops provided by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham alongside multiple public services which included the Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service and TFL.
The children took part in different scenarios which gave them the opportunity to learn some invaluable life skills; such as how to react in the event of a fire in the home, identify if an offensive weapon is being carried, conduct themselves on public transport and how to check their bikes before leaving home to name a few.

The piece of scripture that they focused on during the session was from John 13:34. After discussing Jesus' rule to love each other, children decided that they would 'go forth' by ensuring they show 'love' to others even when it is difficult to do so.
