Wed 14 Jul 2021Celebration Week - Wednesday 14th July 2021
What an amazing day for the Year 6s. Today, the children had the opportunity to become up and coming pop stars by recording their very own CD. We had a music recording expert come in and the children sang 7 songs and were even treated to an exclusive performance by Mr Mulley and Miss Martin.
In the afternoon, the children were put into teams and had several tasks to complete. This tested their communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills. The children had to create the longest paper chain, took part in a quiz and had a challenge to do with lifting a hoop up and back down to the floor using only their fingertips.

We found out how penguins and polar bears are perfectly adapted to their polar environments and learnt about threats such as climate change and overfishing which have a disastrous effect on our planet. We were impressed with how the children could locate the Arctic and Antarctic and recall some of the animals that live there. We learnt about ways in which we can act to protect our planet against climate change in our everyday lives.
