  • More from the Year 6’s at Thriftwood - Day 2

    Where to start! This morning was jammed with activities, but that was nothing compared to to our afternoon and evening! More excellent teamwork being shown. All the adults and instructors are so impressed by the efforts. Our evening was rounded of with campfire songs led by scout master Brad. We also had a lovely visit from Mrs Lumber who surprised Year 6 with pizza! A special mention to Nissi and Isabel whose birthdays fell on this trip - yesterday and today respectively. Beautiful singing and delicious cupcakes to celebrate. Well done everyone. Sad to say, one more morning with bushcraft and then the return home. 

  • Morning from Thriftwood - Day 2

    Day 2 of the Year 6 residential started with a mix of kayaking, climbing, leaping, zip lining and more. It’s exhausting just writing about it!!! The children are really showing how they can push themselves to learning new skills. Lots of laughs and fun to come. Also plenty more photos to follow. 

  • Chestnut Court Care Home

    Chestnut Court Care Home were very grateful to receive our beautiful flower donations from the May Procession. The residents will enjoy taking part in a flower arranging activity with the blooms today—thank you for helping to make their day so special.

  • Year 6 at Thriftwood - Day 1

    Year 6 got off to an action-packed start with climbing, leap of faith, water rolling, axe throwing and raft building. Excellent opportunities to work together and push themselves. Plenty more to come. 

  • May Procession

    We were fortunate to have a beautiful morning for our annual May Procession, a special tradition where we come together to honour Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Led by the Mini Vinnies, we reflected through prayer, sang hymns, and each class placed flowers at Mary’s feet, creating a lovely display of devotion. Thank you to all the parents and families who joined us and helped make the occasion so meaningful.

  • Year 6’s Arrival at Thriftwood

    Year 6 bid bon voyage to their families this morning as they departed for the residential at Thriftwood. We are getting ready for our first activity and three fun-filled days of activities. Keep an eye out for updates. 

  • Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday celebration

    To celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, children took part in a range of engaging activities inspired by his life and work. They explored his contributions to wildlife conservation and gained a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Children watched selected documentaries in his honour, sparking curiosity and discussion about different habitats, animals, and environmental issues. Through these experiences, they reflected on the importance of protecting our planet and were inspired by Attenborough’s passion, dedication, and lifelong commitment to nature.

  • Rosary Club – Celebrating the Month of Mary

    Rosary Club will be gathering Wednesday during the holy Month of Mary. This week, the children  prayed with great reverence, offering their own special intentions and joining together in the Rosary. It has already been a wonderful and peaceful way to begin this special month, strengthening our faith and sense of community within the school.
