EYFS Winter Walk at Abbey Green
Wed 28 Jan 2026Today our Nursery and Reception children enjoyed exploring signs of winter at Abbey Green!
We found bare and evergreen trees, saw frost on the grass and plants, and spotted lots of different types of birds; blackbirds, robins, parrots and even seagulls! The children were very excited to find a bird's nest and they watched squirrels climbing trees looking for pine cones! We recorded everything we found on our winter checklists, and it was wonderful to hear the vocabulary the children were using to describe the signs of winter around them!

Spaceship Earth Primary Show
Fri 23 Jan 2026The Yr 5 children joined in the exciting Earth observation mission to view our beautiful planet from space and visit the orbiting satellites that are helping us combat climate change.

Introduction to Seafood Workshop
Wed 21 Jan 2026We had some wonderful visitors this week, CJ and Lucy from Billingsgate Market, who led an exciting Introduction to Seafood workshop. The children explored and even touched a variety of seafood, including hake, trout and an octopus! We learned all about the benefits of eating fish, especially how Omega‑3 supports brain function. A fun, hands‑on and memorable learning experience for all!

Epiphany Whole School Mass
Tue 06 Jan 2026Today, our whole school came together to celebrate a beautiful Epiphany Mass led by Father Paul. It was a wonderful opportunity for our community to reflect on the meaning of the Epiphany and start the new year in faith and unity.
