  • Remembrance Day

    Fri 10 Nov 2023

Some children from Year 6 went to the Barking memorial to pay their respects and lay a wreath for the soldiers that lost their lives during the war. The children were extremely sensible and respectful and even engaged in discussions with members of the community who had links to the fallen soldiers that we remember on Remembrance Day. It was a very moving ceremony and the children of St. Joseph's made our school proud.

The rest of the school engaged in a fantastic art workshop where each class got to make a beautiful wreath to lay at our school cenotaph. The children also virtually attended a national live assembly about Remembrance Day and took part in a 2 minutes silence to remember all those affected by the war.
