  • Christmas Fun Run!

    Thank you to all the children at St Joseph's that participated in the school FUN RUN! 

    Although we had a frosty start to the day, the fun run ran as smoothly as the weather would allow. The children were extremely excited to begin their day running laps around the school field this morning. They gave their absolute best and the day was a SUCCESS! 

     

  • St Joseph Boys VS John Perry

    The year 4 & 5 boys team put on a valiant display working really hard to win the game. Silly errors cost them the win, alongside missing some guilt edge opportunities. Overall, the boys tried really hard and nearly drew the game at the end.

  • New Sensory Room

    A huge thank you to all of the fundraising support for our school fund. This term we have been able to create a much needed sensory room for the children of St Joseph's. This space is already being used and enjoyed by many of the children at school.

    Following the Ripple match, the girls continued in great form dominating proceedings from the first to final whistle. Unfortunately, we could not score the goals needed to win and drew the game. However, the girls showed progression in their patterns of play and looked really good as a team.

    St Joseph's dominated the match from start to finish applying alot of what they have learnt on the training field. Individually and as a team the girls showed moment's of quality, which led to St Joseph's scoring 4 GOALS! The girls played so well that the opponents did not have a meaningful shot at goal! Overall, it was a fine display and the girls have come a long way! We are very proud of you girls!

  • EYFS & Year 1 trip to Barleylands

    The children in Reception and Year 1 had a wonderful day at Barleylands! The children were read a wonderful story about Santa and the Donkey, they were able to stroke the resident donkeys, tmeet some of the other farm animals and had a wonderful tractor ride around the farm. To finish off our day, the children were able to visit Santa at the North Pole! They were able to speak with Santa and ask him lots of questions about Christmas. Santa generously gave each child a gift to put under their tree! It was a fantastic day and the staff at Barleylands even commented on the children's impeccable behaviour. Well done Reception and Year 1!

  • Year 3&4 Road Safety Workshop

    Today the Year 3 and 4 children attended a workshop on Road safety. They learnt how to stay safe when crossing roads and the safety signals. She advised them to wear bright colours especially when it gets dark. The children had many questions during the workshop which were explained by the Safety Officer. Emphasis was laid on car seats and its importance. They were shown the 3-point seat belt and how to wear it.

  • EYFS Road Safety Workshop

    The children in Reception had a very informative workshop about Road Safety on Thursday. The children learnt all about the importance of remembering the slogan ‘Stop, look, listen’ and they also discussed the meaning of the green and red man at traffic lights. The workshop also touched on the importance of sitting in car seats and ensuring that we do not fiddle with our seat belts.

  • St Joseph's Boys VS Riverside

    The Year 6 boys played against a combative Riverside Primary, but our skill and tactics were clear to see displaying some terrific individual and team passages of play. St Joseph's ended up 5-0 winners and thoroughly deserved the 3 points.
