Rosary Club
Wed 22 May 2024Throughout the month of May, we honour Mary, Our Mother, every week during Rosary Club. Children gather in our prayer room to set their own prayer intentions for the rosary. Together, we then recite one or two decades of the rosary. This provides a wonderful opportunity for the children to deepen their faith and pray as a community.

Fri 17 May 2024Year 6 had a well-earned treat to mark the end of their SATs, when we had a visit to school from an ice cream van. The children of Year 6 have worked incredibly hard in the run-up and during SATs week, showing commendable resilience and a strong work ethic. We are extremely proud of their achievements this year and were pleased to see the enjoyment of a sweet treat on a beautiful, sunny Friday to celebrate. We now look forward to celebrating even more during Celebration Week after half term.
Well done Year 6!!!

Year 3 Trip to The Natural History Museum
Tue 30 Apr 2024Year 3 had an exciting trip to The Natural History Museum where students enjoyed an engaging exhibition about volcanoes and earthquakes. During this exhibition, students took on the role of volcanologists and used their knowledge to decide whether a town needed to be evacuated based on a Volcano Town Alert. St. Joseph’s Feast Day
Thu 21 Mar 2024The festivities for St. Joseph's feast day at St. Joseph’s began with a mass at St. Mary and St. Ethelburga. Upon returning to school, we delved into learning about St. Joseph's life and mission, enriching our understanding of our school's patron saint. In the afternoon, parents joined us for a crafting session, creating white lilies in honour of St. Joseph's symbol. It was heartening to see parents engage in this enjoyable activity with the children. Following the crafting, families gathered in the school hall for tea, coffee, and cakes. The day concluded with a lively St. Joseph’s Feast Day disco, where children revelled in dancing and singing to their favourite tunes. What a delightful celebration it was!
