  • Year 6 End of SATs Week Celebration

    Fri 12 May 2023

We are so proud of our year 6 children who have worked so hard in revising and preparing for their end of KS2 SATS.

SATS week ran very smoothly and the children showed determination and great maturity in how they conducted themselves throughout the week.

On Friday afternoon it was time for a celebration of all their hard work and so the children enjoyed an ice-cream treat with our very own Mr Whippy ice-cream van!

  • Visit to the British Museum

    Fri 05 May 2023

As a part of our Educational trip on Ancient Egypt, the children visited the British Museum. They looked at the beautiful artefacts from Egypt which enriched their knowledge about Egyptian history, culture, people and many other interesting things. The Egyptian objects told them a story of life and death in the ancient Nile Valley. They also attended a presentation to explore the famous tomb-painting of Nebamun hunting in the marshes. On the whole the children along with the adults enjoyed their trip to the British Museum.

  • TOP HITS from the Past

    Fri 05 May 2023

In todays assembly, each class performed a song from a different decade of King Charles's life.

This definitely had all the children buzzing and even the adults were completely in their element! There were moves going, singing on key and just amazing performances from all the children. The children really enjoyed this and the assembly was a success!

The children looked very royal in their crowns, waving their flags and singing from the top of their voices which is just how we do things here at St Josephs!

The energy was through the roof and the children were very much ready for their long Bank Holiday weekend!

    Fri 05 May 2023

    We are CORONATION READY!

The children were given the option to come in wearing red, blue or white and as you can see from the photos they clearly understood the assignment!

Today some children from Year 4 and 5 participated in a new sporting event called DragonBall. The game was a mix of Tag Rugby, Football and Handball. The children did exceptionally well considering they had never played the game before, and won every single match winning the tournament. The children showed fantastic team work, alongside well thought of strategies. St Joseph's played the game with excellent sportsmanship and did themselves and the school proud.

    Fri 31 Mar 2023

As part of our whole school Easter celebration, EYFS and KS1 pupils created some delicious Easter nests out of shredded wheat and chocolate! Their scrumptious creations were a reminder of Jesus' new life at Easter. After the Easter egg hunt, KS2 pupils were all thrilled to be going home with their very own Easter Egg!

May God shower our St. Joseph's community with blessings, love and peace this Easter.
