Another busy week for Year 3 and Cherry Tree class. The children started out the week discussing the story of Krindlekrax and highlighting the main events and themes, in preparation for writing their own version of the narrative next week. They worked in pairs to form original ideas to use in their writing, and collaborated to produce amazing characters and settings. Throughout the week, the children have worked hard in maths using different units of measure, building up to adding and subtracting measurements to calculate height and length by the end of the week. In RE, the children discussed why Christians and Catholics gather together as a congregation for mass, then role played different parts of the mass. In geography, the children investigated different soil types, and discussed the characteristics that helped them identify whether the soil was sandy, silty, or clay. In addition to all of this amazing learning, the children continued to work hard on their jumping technique in athletics, and showed some excellent skills. They should be very proud of themselves, well done Cherry Trees!
