Students returned to school with excitement ready for learning. We started off the week introducing our new text, Arthur and the Golden Rope. Students took on the role of actors and stage directors and practiced expressing various emotions for a stage play. In Maths, we delved into addition, subtraction of fractions and partitioning whole fractions. Developing the core skills for playing tennis, students practiced tirelessly in teams. In Science, we discuss the parts and functions of flowering plants and made kinetic wind art for our R.E. learning which focuses on Energy. Students were ecstatic when they finally completed their volcanic eruption experiment. The gasps and elation on their faces seeing their handmade volcanoes erupt was priceless. Job well done on your first week back Fern!
