Cherry Tree Class have been working very hard this week!

Throughout this week, the children have engaged in some fantastic learning! They made timelines of the prehistoric ages in history, and sorted themselves into groups of input and output devices during computing lessons, to demonstrate their knowledge and learning.

In art, they began to explore the colour wheel, colour theory, and experimented with different mixing and mark making in their books. The children continued their journey towards maths mastery with self-guided pair work on exchanges in place value, which they really enjoyed. They also self-directed series of photos to organise and summarise the narrative of the story Gorilla, in preparation for their writing next week, in which they will be inserting themselves into the story and writing their own version.

Finally, the children participated in National Coding Week, using their computing knowledge to programme an AI model, teaching it to recognise patterns and improve its task performance. It's been a very busy, very exciting week!
