A Fantastic Week 4!

Students completed their first Maths topic of Place Value this week and enjoyed reviewing their learning in pairs, reminding each other of all the amazing mathematical skills acquired. Working steadfastly, students completed the conclusion to their narrative in English. Understanding the importance and reason for our prayers was our focus for R.E. and students practised introducing themselves in French, concluding the lesson with a song (in French)!  

Thinking about the way digital devices have changed our lives, students enjoyed painting a picture in their sketchbooks and were challenged to create the same picture digitally, using iPads. Students then discussed how digital devices have impacted the way we live in an extremely engaging Art and Computing cross-curricular lesson. In Science, the discussion of nutrition from last week's learning was further developed as students learned about the categories and types of food that make a balanced diet; meanwhile, daily life in the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic periods was compared in our History lesson. 

Outside of formal learning, students had a blast in their Movie night on Thursday and on Friday participated in raising money for the McMillan Cancer Society by bringing in treats for sale!
