The festivities for St. Joseph's feast day at St. Joseph’s began with a mass at St. Mary and St. Ethelburga. Upon returning to school, we delved into learning about St. Joseph's life and mission, enriching our understanding of our school's patron saint. In the afternoon, parents joined us for a crafting session, creating white lilies in honor of St. Joseph's symbol. It was heartening to see parents engage in this enjoyable activity. The day concluded with a lively St. Joseph’s Feast Day disco, where children reveled in dancing and singing to their favorite tunes. What a delightful celebration it was!
We have been growing cress seeds in science. We have been learning about what seeds need in order to germinate. The seeds in the pot that we watered, germinated. The seeds in the pot we didn’t water, did not grow.
Charlotte from the Dog’s Trust came in to speak to us about the 5 golden rules of how to behave around dogs. We learnt that dogs do not like tight cuddles, they prefer to be stroked gently. We learnt about how to care for dogs properly and understand their behaviour. It was a fantastic workshop and we learn so many valuable lessons!
