This week, Cherry Tree class got back into the swing of their learning!

They had a fantastic introduction to their history topic: Through the Ages, which focuses on the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. They participated in an archaeological dig, in which they discovered ancient artefacts, and tried to date them based on their knowledge of tools and communities throughout pre-history.

The children jumped straight back into maths, working in pairs to investigate the relationship between different 3-digit numbers and place value.

They also had a fantastic time acting out different scenes from the story Gorilla, a fictional narrative in which a girl's wish to go to the zoo to see her favourite animal - a gorilla - comes true, when her toy gorilla comes to life and takes her on a night time adventure! They go to the cinema and to a restaurant before coming back home.
