This week, students in Fern class experienced a wide range of interactive and exciting learning. We visited the Barking library at the start of the week and students enjoyed reading from their favourite books. In English, they focused on using the author’s words from our text, Krindlekrax, to describe the traits of various characters. They then shared their favourite pieces of descriptive language from the text. We deepened our knowledge of multiplication by using the expanded method to multiply 2-digit by 1-digit numbers in Maths. In an exciting lesson of I.T., students were introduced to Scratch, where they practiced programming their environment. In Science, students investigated the effect of friction in various activities while in Geography, we discussed the Layers of the Earth in detail. We ended the week with lots of dancing in P.E. and stimulating discussions about our favourite time of the year in R.E. Looking forward to another wonderful week.
