Week beginning 16/10/2023
Year 2 investigated how germs spread. We used glitter to represent germs on our hands and explored all the different ways we spread 'germs' around our classroom. During out Human Survival topic, we learnt about the importance of proper hand washing. To wash away the 'germs' we used warm water and soap.
EYFS and KS1 thoroughly enjoyed their disco! They pulled some excellent shapes on the dance floor and enjoyed some delicious treats!
We have been learning about Poetry this week. We worked in small groups to perform various poems. We thought carefully about our actions, body language and facial expression as we performed our poems to the rest of the class.
We were very lucky to have the Metropolitan Police come in to our class to talk to us about how we can keep safe in public and at home. PC Casey and his colleagues spoke to us the importance of their jobs in keeping our community safe. We were very lucky to be given an opportunity to sit in a Police vehicle and set off the Police sirens. It was such a memorable visit!
