Another busy week for Cherry Tree class. This week, the children have spent a lot of time and effort working on their division skills. This hard work and dedication has paid off as, today, they participated in a national birdwatch, and used their skills to calculate the averages of the birds they had seen so they could submit the data to a national database. In English, the children worked together to research crocodiles for their non-chronological report. They have produced some fantastic writing! Year 3 and 4 started their before-school basketball club this week and some of the Cherry Tree children participated. It was an early start but the children loved it. In PE, they have started their athletics unit, and practised using the correct throwing technique for discus and shotput with Mr Campbell. In geography, the children examined different types of rock and documented their properties and uses, and in computing, they continued programming and coding in Scratch, to plan and code sequences for their sprites. A week full of fun and learning, well done Cherry Trees!
