Star of the Week - Jameswisdom Kindness Ambassador - Simon Resilience - William
Students returned to school this week ready to learn. Expanding their knowledge of fractions, students practised finding non-unit fractions for a set of objects and refined their reasoning skills by solving word problems in pairs. In English, the kids focused on expressing their emotions using stage directions and challenged themselves by using ambitious vocabulary to write a setting description based on a scene from our text. They enjoyed throwing and catching in P.E. to further develop their motor skills and learned about the types of root systems in plants during our Science lesson. Focusing on desktop publishing, we discussed the advantages and disadvantages of text and images in Computing. We ended the week with our celebration assembly, highlighting those who shine brightly with their resilience, kindness and being amazing role models.
